Illustrations: Two engraved, hand-colored, circular scenes within frames on each page, one illustrating each alphabet letter (except for "I" and "J" and "U" and "V," which both share illustrations).
The letter B, "bound into boards," is illustrated by a man carrying advertising sandwitch boards, and the letter A, "anatomical researches," is illustrated by a grave-digger.
