Pasticcio with Italian text based on the Harvard University anecdote and comic ballad "The lay of the one fishball" with music consisting of pre-existing opera excerpts by Donizetti, Rossini, Mozart, and Bellini.

The acc. CD contains a revival of Il pesceballo that took place, Aug.3-4, 2008, at the Great Hall of Trinity Episcopal church, Bloomington, Indiana. All performers were students from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. The performance was acc. by a piano quintet.
