    Summary note
A biography of the professional mexican wrestler known as Jesús Quintero "El Murciélago" Velázquez. He was born on February 22, 1910 in the small ranch of La Palma, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato and was one of the original and eccentric stars of the world of wrestling, when wrestling was in its infant stages, still in development. Velázquez was the second Mexican fighter behind his predecessor La Masquerade Wonder. His first appearance at Arena Mexico was on April 3, 1938 (as the Masked Bat) in a match against Jack O'Brien, who won the fight when the fierce rookie was disqualified, through a ruling for excessive punishment . Velázquez later became a writer.
