Summary note:
Memory and history, identity, pains of a nation, but also social commitment and love for life. These are some of the dimensions that are perceived and observed in the Visual Memory of a Nation mural, a work that was born to be shared and debated in the civic center of the city of Santiago, in a unique place such as the Universidad de Chile metro station, where thousands of people travel daily. Who could remain oblivious or distant to a visual narrative, epic character, more than twelve hundred square cuatrados, originated from the multiple and diverse conversations, meetings and dialogues that the artist was holding and sharing on his return to Chile. Mario Toral, the painter, the engraver, the photographer, took the public art to the wall to paint the history of Chile.
