    Summary note
The main character from Manfred Römbell's "Rotstrassen-Trillogie," Andreas Schöber, experiences the close of the 1970s. He finds himself caught between his bourgeois existence and his artistic development, between hope and despair concerning his relationship with Vera, which fails due to his obsessive behavior. A dubious struggle to recover his previous happiness begins. His private life mirrors developments in contemporary society. Ultimately, it is art which brings Andreas back to life.
