Reproduction of a notable example of the XVth century school of illumination and miniature painting at Ferrara. Illuminated borders including flowers, beasts, birds, emblems, etc., and about 1000 miniatures, chiefly by Taddeo Crivelll, Franco de' Russl, Glorgio d'Alemagna and Marco dell' Avogaro.
Original presented to the Italian government by Giovanni Treccani in 1923, and placed in the Biblioteca Estense, Modenna.
Bound in full maroon calf, with medallion bearing the arms of Bourbon-d'Este on front covers, by Torriani e c., Milan.
