Notes
An edition of the gospels and Acts in Greek, with Beza's Latin version and the Vulgate text. Edited with variorum notes by Balduinus Walaeus. The Greek text follows Beza's first edition of 1565, with a few variations. The notes are mainly based on Beza's annotations. The names of other commentators quoted are given in the editor's preface.
Paged continuously. An engraved title placed before v. 1, and general title-page before v. 2. The dedication dated 7 June 1652. Preliminary matter includes, H. Stephani Dissertatio (the tract on the style of the New Testament, reprinted from the first edition of the text of the Greek Testament as edited by H. Stephanus, published in 1576). The texts printed in three columns:--1. Greek, 2. Beza's, 3. Vulgate; with commentary below.
The engraved title by I. v. Meurs, represents eight New Testament incidents, and a group of nine divines seated at a table.
