  • A revised edition of F. Scio's version published in Valencia, 1790-93, without the Latin Vulgate. Engraved title-pages to the Old and New Testaments. The preliminary matter includes a dedication, Al príncipe de Asturias; Disertacion preliminar sobre la translacion de los libros sagrados 'a la lengua castellana; and Disertacion segunda: Si las versiones paraphrásticas 'o libres de las sagradas escrituras deben preferirse 'a las literales.
  • The text is printed in double columns, with the notes below; with prefaces, chapter-hedings, list of errata, etc. v. 4 of the New Testament contains, Tablas chronológicas, and Indice de las cosas notables.
  • Psalsms is followed by Jerome's version and by a Spanish paraphrase. Similar paraphrases are given of Job and Lamentations in addition to the ordinary Spanish versions of those books.h
