Summary note
The Tomaree Family History Group undertook a group research project on some of the early convicts and based on the book The third fleet convicts by R.J. Ryan. The ship the "Salamander" was chosen for its historical link to Port Stephens where the group is based. It was decided to research the soldiers on the ship as well.
