"This volume is the outcome of a scientific and preservation conference which took place at the “Krzemionki Opatowskie” Reserve in April 2013. The conference was the closing accent of celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the discovery of the Neolithic flint mine known in archaeological literature as “Krzemionki Opatowskie” (see articles by Włodzimierz Szczałuba, and Paulina Potocka and Katarzyna Zdeb). The papers read at the conference became the foundation of fresher, broader elaborations of the topics discussed, in the form of copiously illustrated articles."
