Summary note
Hoce li docekati svoju katarzu?"-- cover.
"The protagonist, who is also the narrator Hills, worked in a publishing house and a Museum of Contemporary Art. He leaves his civilian existence, his promotions, openings of exhibitions, and invitations, mostly to manage the hill that dominates some Adriatic island, from an abandoned military watchtower; all summer he guards the island from fire. There, in the company of a dog and an aging donkey, is the climax of his life. The text gives us the subtle and complex insights into the hero's inner self... he sees modern pilgrims, bikers, lost souls, soldiers with PTSD, and abusive hunters: the island certainly remembers the traumatic nineties... This is a deeply disturbing text about an urban individual who seeks the meaning of life. Will he greet his catharsis?"-- cataloger's summary and translation of cover.
