Summary note
A survey of Greek inscriptions in France, this work seeks to present a new analysis of the evidence provided by epigraphy for the presence or influence of the Greeks in Gaul. This work builds on the Inscriptiones Galliae, an appendix to the Inscriptiones Graecae published by Albert Lebegue in 1890; it expands Lebegue's work to include the numerous inscriptions discovered since 1890, and also to reflect the profound changes in methodology that have taken place in epigraphy.
