The text is based on Cod. phys. 30 in the Landesbibliothek in Stuttgart: the facsimiles are reproduced from manuscripts of De naturis rerum in libraries of Berlin, Breslau, Krakow and Prague and have no bearing upon the text, but serve as samples of the illumination and illustration of manuscripts.
