• This translation into Yoruba was initially proposed by Ahmadu Bello (1910-1966) in 1962. Translation was begun under the supervision of Bello and Kāmil al-Sharīf, members of the Muslim World League (Rābiṭat al-ʻĀlam al-Islāmī).
