Presumably published by Hilton & Co. Not only were Hilton & Co. the publisher's of Hilton's Union novels, a later number in the series was published with the agent's imprint on the title page, and Hilton & Co.'s imprint on the wrapper.
The previous number in Hilton's Union novels is copyrighted 1866, and William D. Bancker is last listed at 21 Ann Street in the New York directory for 1866-1867.
