Latin translation by St. Jerome. Apocryphal books are interspersed with O.T. books.
Imprint from colophon (leaf F7v), which reads: Laus honor [et] sempiterna gloria summo deo patri ... Filioq[ue] ... Ac spirituisancto ... Quo[rum] omniu[m] ope at[que] auxilio adiuti: Bibliam ... felici fine claudim[us]. In cui[us] quide[m] margine singulo[rum] loco[rum] co[n]cordantie diligenter annotate sunt. Nominum[que] hebraico[rum] interpretationes solito more annectunt. Vna cum tabula alphabetica singulas historias totius Biblie exquisitissime recolligente. Correcta ... ac ... eme[n]data per ... Petru[m]angelu[m] de monte vlmi ... Impressa vero in felici Venetorum ciuitate: sumptibus [et] arte Hieronymi de Paganinis Brixiensis. Anno gratie millesimo guadringentesimo [sic] nonagesimoseptimo. Septimo Idus Septembris.
A reprint of an edition printed by the same printer in 1492, which was the second octavo Latin Bible, and (with a folio also of 1492 by the same printer) the first with a woodcut title page. Edited by Petrus Angelus de Monte Ulmi, these are the first to contain the alphabetical table of contents, compiled by Gabriello Bruno in 1489.
Printed in red at head of leaf a1 recto: Prologus in Bibliam. Incipit epistola beati Hieronymi ad Paulinum presbyterum de o[mn]ibus diuine historie libris.
Leaf a3 verso: Incipit liber Genesis qui dicitur hebraice bresith.
On inserted leaves 2n(chi1) and 2n(chi2), the text (Ezechiel I, 6-VIII, 2) is supplied in ms.
Text printed in double columns, "Interpretationes" in three columns, 54 and 53 lines to a full column, solid paragraph form, without verse numbers. Title centered at top of right page. References, section letters in both margins.
Woodcut device on t.p.; spaces left blank for chapter initials.
"Tabula alphabetica ... a ... Gabriele Bruno ... composita ac ordinata": prelim. leaves 1 verso-10 verso.
"Interpretationes nominum hebraicorum": leaves 1-4⁸ 5⁶ with register on last leaf.
