    Summary note
The publication revisits the contents that have marked the history of three decades of the international festival Videobrasil, transforming a local initiative, aimed at promoting the Brazilian video in the 1980's, into a platform for contemporary artistic production from the global South (Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Asia and Oceania). The history of the Festival reveals larger companies, like the video in the renewal of language and thematic spectrum of broadcast television in the years 1980 and the progressive absorption of means by international art system. The trajectory of three decades of VideoBrasil, in partnership with Sesc São Paulo since 1992, is honored in this commemorative book.
