A collection of sixteen popular children's songs with lyrics and simplified staff music for playing on a small xylophone; the music score also has simple 1-8 numbering, with numbers corresponding to those on the 8 xylophone bars.

• Milton Bradley's logo on both covers (MB bought out McLoughlin Brothers and their lines of publications and games).
• "Patent applied for" printed on both covers; patent for spiral binding also noted on lower cover.
• Illustrations: Full page illustrations signed by Malvern facing the music scores, some in red and black and some in full color, with small black-and-white illustrations at the head of most songs.
• A mini-xylophone is attached to the inside lower cover, and all pages have a cut-out section, making the xylophone accessible from all pages; also included is a playing small mallet.

Binding note

Publisher's pictorial, chromolithographed paper-covered boards, both upper and lower featuring a depiction of happy children on a merry-go-round.
