"From early childhood, Hyuk-Soo has always loved Eun-hea. Feelings of guilt that he can do nothing for deeply-hurt Eun-Hea eventually leads Hyuk-Soo to become a member of an underground organization. Keeping her sage becomes his sole reason for living. To him, Eun-Hea is like a clear spring that beautifies a desert. However, she does not allow herself to fall in love with Hyuk-Soo because she feels trapped with an unfortunate destiny owing to her beauty. She torments herself for Hyuk-Soo's many misfortunes. Meanwhile, a new character, Chol-Min approaches her and changes her destiny. Chol-Min's obstinate courtings, and a guarantee that he will get Hyuk-Soo out of prison lead Eun-Hea to marry Chol-Min.Chol-Min, however, is troubled with the memory of his mother's unfortunate life, and his relationship with his wife comes to an end after he learns that she will never love him"--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
