"Kang Sin-ho falls in love with a kindergarten teacher Jun Hye-young but breaks up before reaching marriage. Hye-young shows up with 7-year old Young-sin 8 years later. She asks him to take the child in order to send him to school and Sin-ho agrees to it despite his wife's objection. Young-sin cannot adapt to life in the city and the family is unhappy. Young-sin goes out to look for his mother and Sin-ho hits him when he is back. The scene is witnessed by Hye-young and she takes the child back with her."--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
