Summary note
"Hae-jun is the editor of a magazine. He has sudden hallucinations of a woman of fire and hears the tune of traditional ritual music in his ears. Suffering from unknown causes, he ends up in the hospital. Convinced that his mother, Yong-nyeo, has something to do with his illness, Hae-jun goes looking for her. Yong-nyeo lost her husband to an unfortunate accident. In the anti-shamanism movement, Yong-nyeo's exorcisms are banned by the government. She is an exorcist who went mad. Afterwards, Yong-nyeo went from man to man, living a vagabond life. Finally, she jumped into a fire, burning up her rage and body. When Hae-jun learns that there is no cause for his illness, he is greatly troubled. Finally, he gets a shaman's invocation rite and is cured."--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
