Notes
Based on the Roman edition of 1582 but without the gloss.
Volume [1], with the general title page only, contains Gratian's Decree; volume [2], the remaining books.
The Decretals of Gregory have full special title page only: Decretales D. Gregorii Papae IX. : suae integritati restitutae. Parisiis, 1587. Cum licentia.
The Liber sextus shares special title page with other items: Liber sextus decretalium D. Bonifacii Papae VIII. : suae integritati, vna cum Clementinis et Extravagantibus, restitutus. Parisiis, 1587. Cum licentia.
Lancellotti's Institutes, appended to the Corpus juris canonici with official sanction in 1580, have full special title page: Institut. iuris canonici, quibus ius pontificium singulari methodo libris IV comprehenditur / a Ioan. Paulo Lancelotto Perusino conscriptae & in Aula Romana mandato Pont. Max. ab illustrib. viris olim recognitae ; nunc primùm annotatis in margine locis, vnde sumpti sunt. Parisiis, 1587. Cum privilegio Regis.
Ship device on all four title pages.
Volume [1]: [52], 454, [2] p. (p. [455-456] blank); volume [2]: [14?], 459-727, [9], 731-885, [3] (p. [886-888] blank), 72, [160] p.
The same woodcut (the pope in a frame with 14 portraits) appears in the Decretum and in the Liber sextus.
The entry in Adams lists the prelim. sig. [beta] as one of 6 leaves only, and the set he reports appears to lack Lancellotti's Institutes; they are, however, listed separately by entry L-104.
"Commissa vel omissa."--End of volume 2.
Includes index.
