Summary note
"Yeong-ju has it all - cute looks, innocent smile, and she's also a brilliant talker. But in fact, she's an ex-convict for fraud. She passes the evaluation for parole with ease. As soon as she is released, she boards the train for Busan, with the wooden geese she has crafted herself as her older sister's wedding gift. Meanwhile, Hui-cheol is a pharmacist from Yonggang Village. He was on his way to Busan to propose to her girlfriend with the ring that used to belong to his deceased mother. The two are sitting across from each other. He drops the ring on the floor which ends up between Yeong-ju's feet. As he tries to get it back, Yeong-ju wakes up, and slaps him in the face thinking he was up to something. What's worse, a pickpocket steals the ring from him without his even knowing. Yeong-ju, thinking she might get in trouble since she was on parole, decides to get the ring back for him. She succeeds in getting the ring back, but the train leaves before she could get back - she had left her bag in the train. Determined to find her bag, she goes to Yonggang Village looking for Hui-cheol, but the situation keeps getting more complicated. Seeing the ring, Hui-cheol's family thinks she must be his fiancee. Unwilling to tell them who she really was, she plays along, acting the sweet fiancee. Hui-cheol who didn't have the ring to make the marriage proposal comes back from Busan with a heavy heart, and is enraged when he finds what has been going on while he was away. But no one believes him, and thinking he had abandoned his poor fiancee, he is kicked out of the house. Now the showdown between Yeong-ju and Hui-cheol, truth vs. lies begins."--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
