Provenance
Ex copy has a contemporary newspaper clipping mounted onto the left margin of the backing paper. The clipping, from an unidentified publication, is an article about a Saturday evening performance of ''Venice preserved'' and ''The fortune of war!'' at the Covent Garden Theatre at which Princess Charlotte and other dignataries attended. It is not clear whether the Princess attended the performance on May 20, 1815.
