• Title from text 1.
• Physical description: 11-13 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Appendix to text 1 (leaves 102-113) is on different paper by a different hand and is a later addition inserted after text 1. Leaves 72, 125 detached. Insect damage and tears. Ink is acidic and has caused some paper degradation.
• Origin: The appendix for text 1 is dated the 10th night from the end of Rabīʻ I 1280 H [i.e. 20 Rabīʻ I 1280 = 4 September 1863], by Sayyid Aḥmad Ḥasan Mawdūdī (leaf 112b). Remaining texts completed earlier.
• Incipit (text 1): الحمد لله الذي اصطفى نبيه على سائر المخلوقين وجعل ذريته افضل المقربين المهديين

Persian translation of the author's Nuzul al-abrār bi-mā ṣaḥḥa min manāqib ahl al-bayt al-aṭhār, an Arabic work on the lives of the Prophet and the Twelve Imāms. Translated in 1252 H [1836 or 1837] by Mīr ʻAlī ibn Ḥāfiẓ Muḥammad ʻAlī al-Riz̤avī al-Dihlavī, who added an appendix on the the lives of the Twelve Imāms based on Jāmī's Shavāhid al-nubūvah (on leaves 102a-113a). Title from text on leaves 2a-2b.
