    Collection of ḥadīths on the domestic life, character, practices, and ethical teachings of the Prophet Muḥammad; translated into Persian. Text begins on leaf 11b and is preceded by a list of the author's works on leaves 4b-5a and a fihrist on leaves 5b-8b.

    • Physical description: 11 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on blue machine-made paper. Rubrication and catchwords; Arabic quotations vocalized with red. Ajzāʾ indicated in upper left corner of recto. Foliated in Arabic script on recto beginning on leaf 11 and reverse foliated on verso. Edges flecked with blue ink. In excellent condition.
    • Origin: 8 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1261 H [8 December 1845] in Bharūch [India], by Najm al-Dīn ibn Ḥamīd al-Dīn for Muḥammad Ḥasan Ṣāḥib (leaf 242a).

    Contemporary full red-brown leather with gold-stamped central flower design, cornerpieces, and fillets; gold tooling on spine; marbled paper doublures and flyleaves.
