World map on an oval projection. Relief shown pictorially.
Includes ancillary maps of the two polar hemispheres and and a twin-hemispherical world map.
Includes 10 astronomical diagrams: Ptolemy's system -- Copernic system -- Tycho's system -- The face of the sun / by Fa. Kircher -- Saturn / by Mr. Hook -- Mars / by Cassini -- Jupiter / by Mr. Hook -- The face of the moon -- The sun enlightening the earth -- The sun enlightening the moon, the moon enlightening the earth.
Above neat line of map: This projection by equidistant meridians & parallels shews the naturall bearing, distance & proportion of countryes more exactly then that wherein ye distance of the meridians & parallels differ as they do in the stereographick projections, as may be seen above by the two smaller hemispheres.
