A poem in praise of the Prophet Muhammad, describing his personal appearance and character. The poem was composed in 1007 H [1598 or 1599] as stated in the last line (fol. 24a). Text is followed by charts showing the distances of 97 cities from Istanbul on fol. 24b-29b.

  • Physical description: 17 lines per page; written in neat naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Text and columns framed in red. Crude silver illumination on fol. 1b-2a; ʻunwān has been cut away and replaced with plain paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Occasional damp staining and smudging; in good condition.
