"Chinese table tennis pro DENG Yaping, nicknamed The Ping Pong Witch, has previously defeated the best players from both North and South Korea, LEE Bun-hee (BAE) and HYUN Jung-hwa (HA), respectively. When the two get a chance to play together on a Unified Korea doubles team at the 1991 Chiba International Table Tennis Championships -- the first post-war unified team for the two Koreas, in any sport -- they know their combined forces will finally beat DENG and the Chinese. However, politics and dissension unsurprisingly conspire to disband the Unified team before their final match against China.
