    • Title from text on fol. 2b.
    • On spine: Partially torn label reading "[Nafā]yis al-funūn" in Arabic script.
    • Physical description: 29 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords; a few marginal notes. Charts on fol. 244b-246b, 261a-264a, not completely filled in. Extensive staining, but mostly marginal; some smudging. Fol. 1-10, 217-236, 257-264 particularly damaged and some leaves have been repaired; some loss of text on fol. 2 and fol. 221 torn. Fol. 1 has been pasted to the front cover; fol. 265 is a replacement. In fair condition.
    • Origin: First qism completed 4 Muḥarram 1081 H [24 May 1670] (fol. 159b).
    • Incipit: حمد و ثنا و شكر بى انتها حضرت پادشاهى را
    Binding note
    Full brown leather with gold-stamped central mandorla, pendants, and cornerpieces, and blind-stamped fillets. Most of the gold has worn off. Spine has been repaired.

    On fol. 71a, 169a, identical owner's stamps bearing the date 1213 H [1798 or 9]; second stamp on fol. 169a. On fol. 217a, stamp of Muḥammad al-Ḥusaynī, dated 1238 H [1822 or 3].
