    Summary note
    • The widow: Sin (Lee Min-ja) living in exile with her daughter Ju (Lee Seong-ju) ekes out a living thanks to a company president Lee Sung-jin (Sin Dong-hun), a friend of her husband who passed away during the Korean War. But Lee starts to fall in love with her as he helps her. Then Lee's wife (Park Yeong-suk) notices it and feels jealous, becoming ever more hysterical. She wants to fill the emptiness with the love for a young man she happens to know. His name is Taek (Lee Taek-gyun). One day Ju, the daughter of Sin, is about to drown in the sea, and Taek saves her. The love affair between Taek and Lee's wife then changes. Lee tempts Sin to love him, but she falls in love with Taek, who had saved her daughter's life. She even sends her daughter to somebody else's house to live with Taek. Taek's lover, Jin (Na Ae-sim), whom he thought had died during the war, appears out of the blue. Taek leaves Sin, and she is at a loss. Taek settles in with Jin, and tells Sin he wants to break up with her. Sin raises a knife because she is just so shocked by this -- from KMDb (Korean Movie Database).
    • The flower in Hell: "Living in a whores' village Young-sik (Kim Hak) and his company rob US military warehouses of goods and sell them on the black market. His younger brother Dong-sik (Jo Hae-won) comes up to Seoul to look for him. Running into his brother at a market, Young-sik takes him into the village. Dong-sik asks Young-sik to go down to their hometown where their mother awaits them, but Young-sik tells him to go ahead on his own. Young-sik proposes to Sonya (Choi Eun-hee) to go home with him and marry him once he had made his fortune. Meanwhile Sonya seduces Dong-sik one night at a dance party while Young-sik and his company are stealing goods. Sonya and Dong-sik have a good time by the riverside. Seeing them, Young-sik goes off to rob US delivery trucks of goods. In order to run away with Dong-sik, Sonya reports this to the Military Police. They chase him and Young-sik is under fire, but he escapes narrowly when a truck turns over. Young-sik stabs Sonya and asks Dong-sik to take care of their mother before he shoots himself. Dong-sik goes home with a prostitute Judy (Kang Seon-hee), who wishes to marry him " -- from KMDb (Korean Movie Database).520
    • Ton = The money: "Bong-su (Kim Seung-ho) is a farmer. Although he works as hard as possible, he never gets to be better off. He even postpones his daughter Sun-i's marriage. Young-ho (Kim Jin-gyu), a son who comes home from military service, is in love with Ok-gyeong (Choi Eun-hee). She has grown up at Bong-su's, and works at the bar of Eok-jo's wife (Hwang Jeong-sun). Poverty-stricken, Bong-su is cajoled by Eok-jo, an usurer, into selling cattle and starts a used goods business to make money. But he is deprived of his money by a swindler (Noh Gyeong-hee) and his group in Seoul. One night Bong-su picks up some money Eok-jo drops while he is trying to rape Ok-gyeong. While Bong-su fights with Eok-jo, he kills him by accident. Ok-gyeong picks up the money, and gives some to Young-ho. With that money Ok-gyeong and Young-ho are about to be off to Seoul, but are caught by the police who are investigating Eok-jo's murder case. Convinced that they are murderers, the police put them in custody and send them to the police station by train. Bong-su follows the departing train, crying out that he is the murderer and that it should be him who should be arrested." -- from KMDb (Korean Movie Database)
