Physical description: 18 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Text framed in blue and gold. Rubrication and catchwords. Fol. 1-3, 220 are replacements. Extensive water damage, some smudging, and numerous paper repairs, resulting in occasional loss of text.
Origin: Juzʼ 1, 6 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1035 H [29 August 1626] (fol. 139a). Juzʼ 4, 2 [?] Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1046 H [27 April 1637] (fol. 437b--colophon partially covered by paper repair).
Binding note
Full brown leather with stamped central mandorla, pendants, and corner pieces painted green and gold; salmon paper doublures.
