    Subject(s)
    Summary note
History of the rebellion of al-Mukhtār in 20 bāb; contents listed on fol. 4a-4b.
    Notes
    • Ms. codex.
    • Title from fol. 3b.
    • According to this ms., the original text was written in Jumādá 901 H [February 1496] (fol. 3b). This appears to be a scribal error, since according to the published version the date is Jumādá 981 H [September-October 1573] (Tehran, 19--, p. 3), and the ms. itself mentions Tahmāsp Shāh [r. 1524-1576] (fol. 2b). However, according to Āghā Buzurg, the text was written for Sulṭān Muḥammad Shāh [r. 1578-1587].
    • Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in casual naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Insert between fol. 105-106. First leaf is partially torn away, resulting in loss of the beginning of the first two lines of text. Edges of fol. 1-2, 240-242 somewhat ragged. Some staining and smudging; fol. 78a has a large stain which has blurred half of the text. Otherwise in good condition.
    • Origin: Copy completed 15 Rabīʻ II 1236 H [20 January 1821] (fol. 244a).
    • Incipit: اور بنمودى انشا * دارىم امىد اينکه در دو زجرا * عامل بحق شاء شهدا [...] جاهد الکفار در زبان هر سعىد مختار است حمد منتقم جبارىست
    Binding note
European-style full brown leather over cardboard with white pastedowns.
    Language note
    Persian.
