    Summary note
    Ṣūfī poem written in imitation of Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī's Mas̲navī.

    • Ms. codex.
    • Title from fol. 1a and front cover.
    • On lower fore edge: "Fārsī taṣavvuf manẓūm" in Arabic script.
    • Physical description: 14 lines per page, in two columns; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Text framed in green; double green lines separating columns. Headings and occasional vocalization in red; catchwords. A few marginal notes. Some damp staining, mostly marginal, and mild insect damage.
    • Origin: According to a chronogram on fol. 1a, the original text was completed in 1011 H [1602 or 3]. A poem on fol. 1a, 28a by the author states that he wrote the text for ʻĀdil ʻAlī, governor of Egypt under Sulṭān Muḥammad ibn Murād [Mehmet III, r. 1595-1603]. The date 1029 H [1619 or 20] is also noted on fol. 1a.
