    Summary note
This drawing depicts two Arab-looking camel riders mounted on their beasts. They are shown riding, holding the reins in their hands, and one of them also has a lance. The figures are depicted in profile, and they appear to be crossing the page from right to left (description by Mika Natif, 2008).
    Notes
    • Mounted: 22.4 x 33.7 cm.
    • Black and red ink on tan paper; framed in olive green paper with thinner gold and color illuminated borders and a larger border decorated in gold with animals and plants; entire piece mounted onto pasted board.
    • Composition signed "kamtarīn Bihzād 930" [1523 or 4]; this is likely not the famous artist Bihzād, but probably a later attribution as his style was widely imitated.
