• Physical description: 26-27 lines per page; written in black in small, casual naskh on thin glazed, laid European paper with visible fibers. Rubrication on fol. 1b-2a; catchwords. Marginal notes and corrections by the same hand. Arabic quotations vocalized and overlined in black. First leaf ragged and lower inner corner torn away, resulting in some loss of text; fol. 24 torn in center of page but no loss of text. Damp staining in margins and some pages foxed; otherwise in good condition.
• Origin: Original text completed Sunday, 13 Ṣafar 1082 H [21 June 1671]; this copy completed by Ibn al-marḥūm ʻAbd al-Karīm al-Majlisī al-ʻĀmilī Ḥasan ʻAlī on 30 Jumādá II [year not given] (fol. 102b).

Provenance

On fol. 1a: Owner's note dated 15 Rabīʻ I 1263 H [3 March 1847], followed by the seal of Abū al-Qāsim al-Ḥusaynī. Owner's note of ʻAlī Akbar al-Ḥusaynī al-madʻū bi-Shams al-ʻUlamāʾ, dated Sunday, 10 Ramaḍān 1345 H [14 March 1927], followed by his seal.
