"Cho Pil-sung is a detective in a small village where his job requirements are basically preparing for the bullfight that contributes to the development of the district. He is a pathetic husband to his wife who is 5 years his senior, but he is quite popular at his daughter's school and is the first choice as a substitute teacher. As he is preparing for the bullfight, he picks up information on a possible winner and bets the money he took from his wife without her knowing. His winnings are considerable but his joy is short-lived as a young man snatches his money away. The young man is none other than escaped convict SONG Gi-tae who was the talk of the country a few years ago. Pil-sung tells everyone he just lost a highly wanted refugee, but no one believes that SONG Gi-tae had been to the village. He raids SONG Gi-tae's hideout in hopes of getting his money back and becoming a hero for his daughter, but he just ends up losing a pinky to him. When this piece of news reaches the media, Pil-sung is branded as an incompetent country detective and is forced to resign for failing to catch an escaped convict."--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
