Summary note
T'ae-ung and Chŏng-gyu are gifted students in math. They don't get along but become best friends. Chŏng-gyu commit suicide after T'ae-ung wins in a math competition. T'ae-ung, unable to get over his friend's death, quits school. Eight years later, a boxer Tŭk-ku (T'ae-ung's new name) meets Po-ra who is a university student.
