Notes
Ms. codex.
Title from fol. 3a-3b.
On front cover: Label reading "77" in Arabic script.
On spine: Label reading "1193" in Arabic script.
Physical description: 27 lines per page; written in naskh in black on glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords; a few marginal notes. Numerous paper repairs, particularly to first and last leaves, resulting in some loss of text on the latter. Damp staining in margins, text largely unaffected. In good condition.
Decoration: Added after most paper repairs were made; first and last leaves repaired with glazed, laid watermarked European paper likely from the early 19th century. Illuminated ʻunwān on fol. 2b painted mostly in gold, blue, and red in a delicate floral pattern. Gold box left for title but not filled in. Remainder of text is framed in blue and silver with a silver border in the margins.
