Electronic reproduction of selected items from the Malcolm Morley Collection, housed at Senate House Library, University of London. The Malcolm Morley Collection contains over 4,000 individual items relating to the theatre. The rarest material, documenting the history of theatre from approximately 1830 to 1920, has been chosen for this selection. The selection comprises theatrical periodicals and biographies, theatre histories, works on stagecraft, and over 300 of Dicks' Standard Plays, a popular edition of plays published in the 19th century. It includes material by or relating to: Sarah Bernhardt, Henry Irving, Edward Ledger, William Archer, Scott Clement, William Shakespeare, Charles Dibdin, Charles Mathews, J.R. Planché, Dion Boucicault.
