Columns delineated by double gold lines. Catchwords and some marginal notes. Ms. is divided into seven books paginated in Arabic script as follows (first two pages of Books 1-5 unpaginated): Book 1, 3-62; Book 2, 3-118; Book 3, 3-168; Book 4, 3-93 (last page unnumbered); Book 5, 3-168; Book 6, 1-76; Book 7, 1-86 (last 51 pages unnumbered). Extensive damp staining in lower half of text block, but text largely unaffected. Repairs to leaves at beginning and end of text block, mostly to the inner margin.
Decoration: Books 1-5 begin with an elegant two-page illumination consisting of an ʻunwān and decorations within the text frame and in the margins. The ʻunwān is painted mainly in gold, dark blue, purple, and orange in a delicate floral design and is divided into two boxes, the lower of which contains the title in white set within a mandorla-shaped gold background. Each ʻunwān features a slightly different style of decoration. The text area is framed with blue and gold while the background is illuminated with gold and the text is set within white clouds; the columns are delineated by thick dark blue and purple lines in which are painted a white foliar design. The outer column is written on the diagonal and extra space is filled in with delicate multi-colored floral designs. The margins are filled with a gold foliar pattern. The illumination for Book 1 is somewhat damaged as the paper is repaired around the margins, while the ʻunwān for Book 5 is smudged at the top. Books 6-7 begin with a simple ʻunwān in gold, blue, and orange in which the title is written in white within a large gold box.
