    Subject(s)
    Summary note
A Persian translation of the Yogavāsiṣṭha (possibly an abridged version); missing 18 leaves at the beginning and an unknown number of leaves at the end, although most of the last chapter appears to be present.
    Notes
    • Ms. codex.
    • Title supplied by cataloger, according to Rieu, I, 61.
    • On front cover: Label reading "413" in Arabic script.
    • On spine: Label reading "Jūg" in Arabic script.
    • Rieu lists two Persian translations of abridgments of the Yogavāsiṣṭha (Catalogue of the Persian manuscripts, I, 61); however, it is unclear if the present ms. corresponds to either of them.
    • Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in naskh on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Catchwords; some marginal corrections and notes. Incorrectly bound: should be ordered fol. 232-267, 1-231 (according to foliation in Arabic script, 19-291). Incomplete at beginning and end. Fol. 1, 260-261, 267 are replacements on blue glazed, laid European paper by a different hand in shikastah. Fol. 47-48 are replacements on modern paper, but never filled in, resulting in a lacuna in the text. Lacuna of two leaves after fol. 244. Extensive water damage, but text still legible; edges dog-eared. Numerous paper repairs, resulting in occasional loss of text.
    • Incipit (as extant on fol. 232a): و ناخوشى نىارد و نىز چون عجوزى فرتوت و دست و پا از حرکت باز مانده باشد که با وجود آن مىخواهد که اصول رقص کند
    Binding note
Full light brown leather with simple tooled geometric design and fillets; white pastedowns.
    Language note
    Persian.
