A Persian translation of Bahāʾ al-Dīn al-ʻĀmilī's Miftāḥ al-falāḥ, a text explaining daily Shiʻite religious practices, by Jamāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Ḥusayn al-Khvānsārī and dedicated to Safavid Shāh Ṣafī II [r. 1666-1694]. Translator's introduction is on fol. 1a-3a.

  • Physical description: 22 lines per page; written in naskh in black on glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords; extensive marginal notes. Arabic prayers vocalized and accompanied by interlinear Persian translation in red. Incomplete at beginning. Some insect damage in the margins and a few paper repairs; damp staining mainly in upper margin. Damage has not resulted in loss of text.
  • Origin: Copy completed 3 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1131 H. [17 September 1719] (fol. 116b).
