Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; headings in red or green ; some paper lightly tinted red ; watermarks (fol. 1-6: three crescent, crown-star-crescent; main text: pot, three hats?, roman-alphabet initials "GMZ"? with trefoil, other unidentified); MS in good condition.
Decoration: Simple illuminated headpiece of gold and black (fol. 7b). Opening spread frame-ruled in gold and black (fol. 7b-8a).
Origin: According to colophon copy completed Sunday 18 Rajab 1095 by ʻAbd al-Muḥsin ibn ʻAbd al-Ghanī al-ʻAnbūsī (fol. 555b).

Binding note
Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Gold-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces and decorative gold-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Gold-tooled decoration on spine and flap fore-edge. Dark brown leather doublures with small gold-tooled central design and edging. Not currently sewn.
