Marginal and interlinear notes and glosses. On two folios before the first page is a table of contents. A few inscriptions on folio 3a.
Collation: Paper ; fol. 123 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 13 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (crown-star-crescent, countermark roman-alphabet initials) ; MS in good condition.
Decoration: Illuminated headpiece in red and black.
Origin: According to colophon copy completed Saturday 3 Jumādá al-Ūlá 1090 in Marʻash by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad (fol. 123a).
Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين الحمد لله الذي دلنا على معرفته ... اما بعد فهذه عقود منظومة من سنن سيد المرسلين وامام المتقين ...
Colophon: قد وقع الفراغ من هذه النسخة الشريفة التي هي شرعة الاسلام في يوم الثلث[اء] في وقت العصر في شهر جمادى الاولى في بلدة مرعش في محلة ... في تاريخ سنة 1090 في يد العبد الضعيف المذنب المحتاج الى رحمة ربه الغني احمد بن محمد غفر الله له ولوالدي واحسن اليه واليهما اللهم اغفر لي ولوالدي ولجميع المؤمنين والمؤمنات والمسلمين والمسلمات الاحياء منهم والاموات برحمتك يا ارحم الراحمين تم تم تم
Binding note
Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap.
