Summary note
A short essay on the importance of authenticity of the chain of transmission in traditions. The author cites the chain of transmitters according to the Naqshabandīyah, Khalwatīyah, Aḥmadīyah, Shādhilīyah and Akbarīyah schools and enumerates twenty-three schools in all. The essay concludes with the names of the Seven Sleepers and the magical value of each of their names.
