Collation: Paper ; fol. 128 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 31-32 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
Description: Entries in red, headings in red or green ; overlining and verse separators in red ; watermarks (crown-star-crescent variant with two animals below the crown [dogs?]) ; MS in good condition.
Decoration: Illuminated headpiece in gold, red, black and blue-green. Opening spread frame-ruled in gold and blue-green (fol. 1b-2a).
Origin: According to colophon copied Thursday 23 Rajab 1135 by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad, known as al-Baḥr al-Mālikī (fol. 128a).

Binding note
Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled decorative edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Red paper pastedowns.
