Summary note
A commentary on aḥādīth al-arbaʻīn, a collection containing twenty-nine traditions. The work is otherwise known as Kashf astār jawāhir al-ḥikam al-mustakhrajah al-mawrūthah min jawāmiʻ al-kalim min shurūḥ aḥādīth al-arbaʻīn.

Marginal notes and glosses. It is stated in the beginning that the author was the pupil of Muḥyī al-Dīn Ibn ʻArabī 560-638/1165-1240. On the title page are two references to Miftāḥ al-ghayb by the author, and al-Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah by Ibn ʻArabī, and a note that there are 11 quires in the manuscript.
Collation: Paper ; fol. 48 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 25 lines per page.
Description: Entries in green ; some vowel signs ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition.
Origin: According to colophon copied Saturday 29 Ramaḍān 1114 in Damascus, Syria by Qāsim ibn Saʻīd ibn ʻUthmān ibn ʻUbayd ibn Ḍalīʻ ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn Ibrāhīm al-Dakālī al-Marrākushī al-Dandūnī (fol. 48b).

Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather and paper. Yellow paper on covers, paper with a block-pressed gilt floral design on flap.
