Summary note
A collection of traditions. The original work contained 222 traditions. This fragment comprises 127 traditions (1-85 and 106-147). The work is also known as Maʻānī al-akhbār.

  • Ms. codex.
  • Title from title page (fol. 1a).
  • Marginal notes. MS lacking a number of folios in the middle and incomplete at the end. Samʻ certificate on title page.
  • Collation: Paper ; fol. 169 ; quires signed: 2-21 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
  • Layout: 19 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
  • Description: Vowel signs ; ḥadīth numbers in red ink ; MS in good condition. Some repairs. MS is rare.
  • Decoration: Illuminated title page. Title in square framed with gold and blue lines with gold and black cloud and floral fill with blue highlights.
  • Origin: Probably from early XIII century.
  • Ending: ان تقدم زمان انفاقه وقتاله فله فضيلة سبق الزمان الذي لا يلام

Binding note
Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled frame and edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Blue marbled paper pastedowns. Not currently sewn.
