Marginal and interlinear notes and glosses; marginal summaries. Illegible writing on lower edge of text block. Partial list of sūrahs on fol. (1)a. Notes on preliminary leaf about the birth and death of the author in 467 and 538 respectively. Comments on Sūrat al-Nisāʼ (fol. (1)b.
Collation: Paper ; fol. (1) + 171 + (1) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 23 lines per page.
Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; some vowel signs ; MS in good condition except worm-eaten and mended.
Origin: MS probably from the XIVth century.
Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ولي الحول والقوه ... الحمد لله الذي انزل القرآن کلاما مؤلفا منظما ونزله بحسب المصالج منجما ...
Ending: وکان في مشيئة الله من الذين يتجاوز عنهم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد واله وصحبه وسلم
Binding note
Later? type III (without flap) binding in red leather. Gold-stamped mandorla with pendants and gold-tooled decorative edging. Leather doublure. Upper cover is missing, spine is mended. Possibly type II binding with flap removed.
